4. Deoxynivalenol Rapid Mycotoxin Testing Kits Principle

Deoxynivalenol (DON) Rapid Test Strips are based on the principle of competitive inhibition immunochromatography. During the process, the deoxynivalenol in the sample binds to the deoxynivalenol-specific colloidal gold-labeled monoclonal antibody, which inhibits the binding of the antibody to the DON-BSA conjugate on the NC membrane detection line. Causes the detection line to change color.
When the sample has no deoxynivalenol residues or the concentration is below the detection limit, the T line is darker or the same color than the C line. When the concentration is at or above the detection limit, the T-line is significantly lighter than the C-line or the T-line is not visible. The C line appears regardless of whether deoxynivalenol remains in the sample, indicating that the test is valid.
